Just keep in mind if you do set up new library structures, products and freebies may not install to the correct locations.
I would install them into the Poser default libray and then move the library (ONLY) files later if need be.
The creators of the products do not know how you have set up your extra librarys. |
| In Poser, Navigate to the top of your library folder structure |
 |
- Lets create location for our new Library
- My Poser 6 is on the C: drive, however I will placing this new library on my F:drive
- After creating the folders (with windows explorer) "Test_Poser", for example, and "Victoria 3"
- Click on the "Big Tick" at the bottom of your Poser "Top" library.
|
 |
| This is what Poser looks like with my Victoria 3 folder. |
 |
| This is what My F: Drive looks like now. Poser has created the necessary library structure. |
 |
- Now it time to put populate our new Runtime.
- Using explorere navigate to where your existing (Character) folders are
- Then Copy and Paste the required folders into thier new library.
- Keep in mind "Characters" go to "Characters" - "Pose" go to "Pose" etc.
- Here I have copied my " DAZ People (and all its content)" to its new location.
- The reason we copy is so we don't loose our files if things go wrong. We can delete the old Librarys latter.

 |
| Here's what Poser looks like, after navigating to Victoria 3 |
 |
| And here is V3 in her new library. |
 |
-
I have lots of V3 Pose Files. Mainly Mats.
-
So I create some sub folders in my new Pose Library.
-
(1) Bodies - This is Body morphs and Mats
-
(2) Clothes - This is for a lot of V3 Clothes.
-
(3) V3 Morphing clothes - you may end up with hundreds of Mats for these
-
(3) Runtime DNA - You end up with quite a few of these as well.
- .
-
I keep my Poses (not Mats) separated into different categories as well
- So here I have created somehere to place the Pose (Mats).
|
 |
| This is what the "Victoria 3" Poses library looks like now. (Ready for populating) |
 |
| After you have copied all your folders into the new locations then. |
- If you are 100% sure that your new librarys are ok
- .... then and only then
- you may delete your old unwanted library FOLDERS that we have just copied.
- BE CAREFULL!!
